RFQ selection checks
Because this category is intentionally broad, the quotation must identify the operating environment, receiving structure and exact function of every component.
Use and operating environment
State fixed building, mobile vehicle, marine, agricultural, equipment-shelter or other use plus location, movement/vibration, people, chemicals, salt, dust, temperature, access and maintenance.
Receiving surface or structure
Provide drawings/photos, material, thickness, framing, condition, curvature or slope, connection points, foundation/soil where relevant and whether drilling, clamping, bonding or adhesive is allowed.
Module or equipment interface
Provide exact module/equipment dimensions and mass, frame/mounting guidance, support points, orientation, tilt, cable/connectors, ventilation/service clearance and any moving parts.
Loads, movement and clearance
Provide governing wind, snow, seismic, transport/vibration, maintenance and operational loads plus adjustment range, locking, machinery/vehicle clearance and safe access.
Materials, sealing and durability
Specify alloys/steel/fasteners, coatings, galvanic contacts, marine/coastal/agricultural exposure, seals/adhesives/penetrations, drainage and the evidence or maintenance expected.
Documents and included scope
Request exact item/configuration, BOM, drawings, calculations/tests where included, installation and adjustment instructions, torque/sealing guidance, labels, spares, packing and written exclusions.
