TOPCon module FAQ
Use these answers to prepare a defensible shortlist. Final electrical, structural, installation, documentation, and market decisions remain project-specific.
What does TOPCon mean when selecting a solar module?
TOPCon describes a passivated-contact solar-cell architecture. It is a useful technology filter, but the exact module still has to be compared by rated power, efficiency, electrical values, temperature coefficients, dimensions, mass, construction, mounting guidance, documents, and commercial order conditions.
Are all displayed TOPCon modules bifacial and dual-glass?
Do not assume that every TOPCon module shares the same construction or rear-side performance. Confirm dual-glass or other construction, bifacial status, any stated bifacial parameters, rear-side installation conditions, frame, junction box, and connector on the exact model documentation.
Can two TOPCon modules be substituted if their wattage is similar?
Not without a new technical review. Similar wattage does not prove matching dimensions, mass, Voc, Vmp, Isc, Imp, temperature behavior, connector, cable, mounting zones, load guidance, packing, certificates, or warranty coverage. Keep the full model code and revision in the approval record.
What should a TOPCon solar module RFQ include?
Include the exact model or target range, quantity, application, destination, site temperature and structural inputs, inverter and string constraints, preferred construction, requested certificates and warranty files, packing limits, delivery target, and any approved-vendor or appearance requirements.
